Church

2020

2:55

Sequenced images taken in various Catholic Churches throughout Italy, used as a zoom background for me to pose in-front of.

Highlighting the absurd of gender discrimination witnessed on a trip to Italy in the summer of 2016. While trying to enter various Catholic Churches, many of the women in my tour group were stopped and told to cover their legs. My knees and thighs were also exposed, but I went in unbothered. Revisiting this, I pose in front of pictures I took in these churches with both shaven and unshorn legs.

New Gallery Sign-In

2022

Zoomed in and saturated Instagram pictures sequenced with comments from a picture of new paintings. These comment sections call for a tone of speech and congratulation almost identical to art-school-gallery-sign-in-books. It is too late to be critical in the notebook at someone’s thesis show, as it is pointless to critique on Instagram.
